Last week, Routt County United Way was recognized as the newest BBB Accredited Charity by President/CEO Pam King serving Northern Colorado & Wyoming and VP of Marketing, Communications & Outreach, Shelley Polansky.
We began the journey of becoming a BBB Accredited Charity because of the trust and confidence that the BBB brand guarantees our donors. There are an overwhelming amount of charitychoices in today’s world and often, donors and businesses are unsure where to find reliable, unbiased information. Becoming a BBB accredited charity means that Routt County United Way has met all 20 BBB Standards for Charity Accountability based on a rigorous financial and internal control review process. It is really important that people understand that we are running a tight ship at Routt County United Way.
In addition to serving the donors, the BBB accreditation also provides exclusive benefits to Routt County United Way. One of the best benefits is called The Gain by Giving Program. This program is designed to connect 7,500 BBB accredited businesses with accredited charities. Local business owners will now be able to connect with us and directly help the community.
We are very excited and look forward to providing Routt County business owners and community members security in knowing that their donations are going to a trustworthy, charitable organization that meets the high standards of the BBB brand.
