Routt County United Way 2019 Campaign Information

We live in a wonderfully unique community, but it’s one that comes with its challenges for many of our working families.  We have a lot of needs here in Routt County.

In fact, many of us find ourselves saying, “I had no idea…” to statistics* like these:

  • 1 in 3 families struggle to live in Routt County,

  • 39% of  local children are not ready for kindergarten in literacy,

  • There is a marked increase in suicides during mud seasons,

  • 30% of local youth report being bullied in school, and another 1 in 3 consume alcohol.

And there is still more. And this is the hard work do everyday, with the help of your support, including programs like: sending free books to the homes of children under five, providing after-school and summer programming for youth, hosting adult financial literacy classes, supporting domestic violence and suicide prevention education, and much more.

It’s important to remember – every cause is connected, and every dollar makes a difference.

  • $1000 provides emergency financial assistance to a family in need,

  • $500 per month provides preschool tuition assistance for a Routt County family,

  • $100 provides bully-free after-school programs for local youth,

  • $50 provides food for seven hungry children outside of school hours.

With your donation today, you will make sure that we can continue our important work, to make sure that every person in Routt County has the support they need through every stage of their life.

Let’s build a healthy, stable, thriving Routt County – together.  Donate today here.
