Leaders in Giving

Leaders in Giving is an opportunity for United Way of the Yampa Valley donors to maximize their gifts’ impact in our community by combining them with the gifts of other like-minded individuals to achieve greater outcomes.

Last year, 372 Leaders in Giving members contributed more than $420,000 to United Way of the Yampa Valley, maximizing their gifts’ impacts by combining them with others. These generous supporters are Summit Club, Tocqueville Society, and Women United Members.

By combining giving with other members, various Leaders in Giving members maximized their gifts’ impacts. These generous supporters are Summit Club, Tocqueville Society, and Women United Members.

Summit Club

Summit Club members are made up of donors who give $500 or more annually. Summit Club members come from diverse neighborhoods, backgrounds, and careers to make our collective vision real.

Membership Benefits:

  • Exclusive invitations to United Way of the Yampa Valley receptions and gatherings
  • Member’s names appear in United Way of Yampa Valley annual report, unless asked to remain anonymous

Last year, 255 Summit Club members contributed more than $400,000 to United Way of the Yampa Valley. Community engagement and recognition opportunities are among several rewards for this distinctive group.

Uniting the Philanthropic Efforts of Exceptional Individuals

The Tocqueville Society is a powerful group of philanthropic leaders who invest $10,000 or more annually in United Way of the Yampa. Members share a passion for investing in our community and making a difference – both personally and collectively.

The United Way of the Yampa Valley Tocqueville Society is named after the French author Alexis de Tocqueville who, in the 1800s, traveled extensively throughout the United States and wrote Democracy in America, a detailed study of society and politics. Tocqueville recognized and applauded the American desire to take a personal role in the advancement of society by combining philanthropy and government service.

The observation on philanthropy made by Alexis de Tocqueville in 1831 is true today. Americans understand that advancing the common good means creating opportunities for a better life for all.

United Way of the Yampa Valley Tocqueville members and above are invited to exclusive Tocqueville Together events.

Members De La Société

Uniting Investors in Philanthropy

The Members de la Société are leadership giving philanthropic leaders who invest $15,000 or more annually to United Way of the Yampa Valley. Members share a passion for investing in our community and making a difference – both personally and collectively. The Members de la Société is a United Way leadership giving level that is recognized nationally, and is recognized as members of United Way of the Yampa Valley Tocqueville Society.

Last year, 11 Alexis de Tocqueville Society and Members De La Société contributed more than $138,500 to United Way of the Yampa Valley. Thank you to these extraordinary philanthropists whose gifts transform lives and our community.

United Way of the Yampa Valley Women United

United Way of the Yampa Valley Women United are a dynamic group of philanthropic-oriented women dedicated to giving, advocating, and volunteering for the most vulnerable in our community.

They are mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, aunts and grandmothers with unique abilities, talents, personalities, life experiences, and dreams. When connected, the power of the individual suddenly becomes an overwhelming and unmistakable force. Women United helps students succeed in school, families gain financial stability, and lift every individual in Yampa Valley by building a better community.

Women United members make personal gifts to United of the Yampa Valley of $100 or more annually.
