You can make a difference today and save on taxes when you support United Way of the Yampa Valley (UWYV) through your IRA. You can give any amount (up to a maximum of $100,000) per year from your IRA directly UWYV without having to pay income taxes on the money.

In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations of physical goods or services are helpful to making our programs a success. In-kind donations could include furniture, electrical equipment, advertising space in a publication or on a website, graphic design services, printing services, photography services, or other business services.

Donate Your Vehicle

United Way of the Yampa Valley partners with CARS to make donating your vehicle easy and hassle-free. You may qualify for a tax deduction while supporting a cause that is near and dear to your heart. Vehicle donation pick-up is always free to you and most vehicles can be picked up within 24-72 hours.

Cryptocurrency

The IRS classifies cryptocurrencies as property, so cryptocurrency donations to 501(c)(3) charities receive the same tax treatment as stocks. Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes.

FreeWill

Designating a planned gift is a meaningful way to show your dedication and appreciation to UWYV’s mission while also accommodating your own personal, financial, estate-planning, and philanthropic goals. With early and smart planning, donors may actually increase the size of their total gift and/or reduce the tax burden on heirs.
